Sufrobot is a project of Carlos Corpa in collaboration with Enrique Tomás (2006-2007).
Sufrobot is a robot which suffers pain and anxiety when human being is present.
A humanoid built from industrial pieces and high voltages lines appears in a dark room, balancing himself on a chair in a self-reflexing attitude.
Through a computer vision system, the humanoid is able to know the amount of human beings in the room, becoming more and more anxious at every moment.
Within the series of “Humanizing Machines” by the artist Carlos Corpa, Sufrobot is probably one of the most extreme examples of visualizing human feelings into a machine.
